Rakee Chen is a designer whose work lives at the crossroads of digital fashion, textile innovation, and storytelling. She has a background in industrial design and specializes in 3D modeling, textile innovation, and structural design. Her career shifted when she worked as a costume designer for sci-fi films and games. This experience helped her discover a passion for digital fashion and the connection between material, technology, and storytelling.

Rakee has received several awards for her work in fashion and digital design. She won the Gold Award at the 2025 MUSE Creative Awards for her music-interactive collection Echo Wanderer. In 2024, she received the Silver Award from the IDA Design Awards for Haute Couture Women, and was selected as a Teen Vogue Generation Next designer. She also won the CLO x Digital Fashion Week competition with a SCHNABBIT streetwear project. In 2023, she was awarded the FIDA Digital Fashion Award and was a finalist in textiles. Her project Wrapped, inspired by Dune, was highly commended at the Rookie Awards. In 2022, she was a semi-finalist in the CFDA Geoffrey Beene Design Scholarship.

“My work is driven by a simple idea: fashion is a way to tell stories. From turning melodies into visual patterns to building immersive virtual worlds, I focus on making designs that not only look good but also tell interesting and meaningful stories. At its core, my goal is to create fashion that sparks curiosity, joy, and connection. For me, every piece is a chance to share a story and make fashion a little more exciting.”
